Cosmetic Dentistry

The first organs most people pay attention when they smile are facial parts and teeth embroidering there.
Therefore, in a social society where there are new introductions or meetings, oral care, dental health and dental aesthetics are the most striking elements among self-esteemed individuals.

Aesthetic teeth together with a smile both means a respect to the people around and an admiration among them besides their career, self-esteem and oral care.

Aesthetic Dentistry is to be applied on below conditions:

1.In patients who have dark or coloured teeth due to foil deficiency or redundancy; or colourings due to extreme antibiotic use in childhood or born. 
2. Frontal dental restorations of broken teeth due to unwanted accidents. 
3. Frontal decays with too much material loss (to an extent where a filling is not possible)
4.On people who have long and bad appearance due to gum disease together with decays. 
5. Dental aesthetic re-shaping purposes after much grown gum disease treatments.
6.To gain back a aesthetical smile which is distracted by missing or extra teeth 
7.To get an ideal smile without showing gums due to proportional teeth-lips relation in dental, gum and lip relations. 
8. To reshape one or more teeth in frontal part lost due to some reasons according to lip and facial aesthetics.
9.In planning prosthesis for changing lip and cheek muscles into an unwrinkled position by evaluating lower and upper chin dimensions vertically in facial parts, maxillary resorption and dental loss in late adolescence.
10. In planning teeth-lip and chin aesthetics according to facial aesthetics when repairing material loss and maxillary breaks, dental loss and chins due to unwanted accidents.


Aesthetic Dentistry should NOT be applied in: 
1.If colored teeth can get an ideal colour by teeth whitening or cleaning.
2.Disorders in frontal areas (extreme decay and gum disease) should be corrected by orthodontic treatments and aesthetical restorations should be avoided in order not to damage enamel and other tissues. Besides, there is no age limit for orthodontic treatments and brackets and braces are used in the same colour in middle and late adulthood.

3.The best ideal solution for inter-dental gaps in frontal areas is to close them by orthodontic treatments and coatings – porcelains and laminate should never be used unless patient is insistent in order not to damage enamel and dental tissues.
 
Materials and Application Types used in Aesthetic Dentistry:
1.Teeth whitening (Beneficial for teeth and gums when applied under doctor control)
2.Laminant coatings (Locating very this porcelains to front teeth on frontal areas by corroding them 0,2 – 0,4mm) This application lasts very short and has little teeth cutting. Besides, no colourings are observed in gums in later years as no metal is used in laminate infrastructure. Also, no colour change is observed on laminates on long periods.
Before applying any laminate, all fillings and gums should be treated if any, colour harmony should also be paid attention with collateral teeth.
3.Porcelain
Porcelain is used to get an ideal aesthetic smile by using porcelain materials on people who have dental-gum or lip and smiling problems or having one or more dental loss. Research shows that porcelains having no metal support under its structure are more preferred. For such applications, patients should very well be examined by dentist, radiological findings be evaluated in detail and the strength of porcelain to be applied should be well calculated and these applications should be told to patients in detail. 
In some of these applications, some are decided by dentist and some together with dentist and patient. The materials used:

)
