Temporomandibular joint is a complicated and embedded joint structure with muscles in area of face, jaw and ear enabling chewing function with lower and upper jaw along with many muscles in area of ear. Disorders of this joint have not defined as diagnosis and jaws are the most typical causes of negative relations of facial muscles. In addition to this, most of pains in ear area may stem from this joint. Lower jaw joint disorders stem from false relationships of lower and upper jaws apart from trauma, rheumatism, ear diseases and some blood disorders. Specifically defectively planned dentures, defective fillings (elevated), forcing of decay and missing teeth to make chewing one-sidedly, maintaining these habits continuous, forcing of 20 age teeth’s inter-jaw closure and excessive muscle spasm in this area are possible causes. In conducted studies, most of the joint disorders stem from bringing excessive load of excessive forces to joint arising from false closure of jaws and teeth and decomposition of intra-articular anatomic structures. These symptoms, making sounds of joints in inter-jaw relations, function restriction, arithmetic closures are the pains in advancing cases. Since false relations of jaw and teeth shall force facial and joint muscles excessively, pains in ear area should be assessed with joint disease. Searching relation of this disease in detail in relation with teeth and jaws, optimizing filling and dentures, satisfying missing teeth and if any resolution of 20 age problem are principal matters to be considered. Orthodontic treatment (correction of teeth and jaws with braces) is a must for optimizing relations among decayed teeth and jaws in treatment of one disease in most cases. In addition to this, healing of symptoms (sounds, pains and function disorders) of this disease entirely may take some time and in this case joint is rested with night plaque splints. Collaboration of orthodontists, Ear-Nose-Throat specialists, jaw surgeons and sometimes rheumatologists is a must for all treatment planning. It is true that first of all it should be started with jaw surgeons and orthodontists.
