1. Children older than 2.5 years old are not allowed to suck their thumbs and comforter. 2. It should be paid attention to the fact that babies are fed with mother’s milk within at least 4 months. This will enable normal development of soft tissue and muscle function around mouth.  3. Placing sugar or jam onto comforter or baby bottles or giving food such as sugary milk or fruit juice in sleeping intervals should be avoided. 4. Teeth should be brushed carefully twice in a day in every age. 5. Eating carbon hydrated food in meal intervals should be avoided. 6. Since excessive acidic food increase reproduction of microorganism, they quicken formation of decays. Therefore, water should be consumed very frequently. 7. Excessive sugary or salty food should be consumed carefully. Afterwards, necessary tooth cleaning should be maintained. 8. Consumption of excessive cold or hot food should be avoided. 9. Teeth should not be picked with hard objects; shelled food such as hazelnut, walnut etch should not be cracked with teeth. 10. Mouth and tooth health start from infancy. Feeding with baby bottle in infancy should be maintained until maximum 2 years. 11. Fundamental requirement for aesthetic and healthy smiling is regular dentist control. One individual should have regular checks twice in a year though there is not problem at all. 12. First step of healthy mouth and tooth structure is taken in childhood. Therefore, choice of dentist should be made in childhood times. Controls of a person should be maintained with the same dentist for a long time. 13. A problem occurred in teeth or mouth should never be delayed and should be applied for dentist in a very short time. Early diagnosis and treatment preclude very serious problems. 14. Another key factor in mouth health is nutrition. Nutrition type is of high significance. 15. Toothbrush and toothpaste purchased with recommendation of dentist should be replaced within 3 months periods. 16. Size of toothbrush and brush edge should be chosen according to person and age. 17. Grasping brush handle should be easy and it should be placed easily into hands. 18. Brush edge bristles should be in medium bristle structure and rounded. 19. An ideal toothbrush should be in medium-softness with minimum 3 lines and made of with rounded nylon bristles. 20.It is possible to make detailed and accurate brushing with small head brushes. . 21. Brush bristles which change colour when used should be preferred for preventing long-term usage of the same brush. 22. Toothbrush should be dry before starting to brush your teeth. Since brush bristles get softer in procedures commonly made with wetting brush, cleaning is not performed appropriately and completely. 23. It is sufficient if you apply toothpaste as lentil particle on toothbrush. 24. Toothbrush should be positioned into combination of tooth and gum with 45 degree angle; teeth are brushed from gum to tooth with small circular movements 25. Duration of a good tooth brushing is 2-3 minutes. 26. All tooth surfaces should be brushed in this process. (lip, cheek, tongue, palate, cutter and chewing). 27. Excessive pressure or superficial brushing should be avoided while brushing your teeth. 28. Tongue which is an important digestion organ should be cleaned in every brushing. 29. Toothbrushes should be stored in a manner which shall not contact with other brushes and shall get dry in a short time. 30. When you catch influenza, toothbrush should be renewed. 31. Teeth spaces should be cleaned by using dental floss in areas which toothbrush cannot reach. 32. Dental floss in an ideal cleaning method for being protected from gum diseases.
